SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Supervisor coordinates and monitors the activities of the Quality Department. The candidate will lead the shift quality team to deliver high-level results by implementing and monitoring all Quality, regulatory compliance, and cGMP programs with a focus on Quality Systems compliance, line auditing, document review, document management, corrective/preventative actions, product evaluations, and related training/performance evaluation activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems;managing schedules and workflow.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures.
· Assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
· Evaluates Quality KPIs during the shift.
· Engages Site Quality Manager, Customer resources, or 3PL for problem resolution and escalation of issues as appropriate.
· Assists in preparing / hosting for customer and third-party audits.
· Monitors and enforces all cGMP/regulatory/Food Safety compliance.
· Conducts documentation generation, review, and verification regarding daily production results.
· Supports resolution of incoming materials issues, assists with disposition, and follows through with suppliers.
· Assists in mock recalls
· Assumes Network and/or Site Quality systems ownership
· Completes root cause analysis, prepares audit reports, and performs follow-up for quality system failures to obtain resolutions that are compliant with regulations and satisfactory to all parties.
· Lead product nonconformance investigations and complete trend analysis to support continuous improvement.
· Prepares impact assessments for process and procedural deviations.
· Researches and assists in the interpretation of regulations that are relevant to the company’s operations.
· Maintains auditing schedules.
· Maintains quality assurance databases, reports, and files
· Prepares, performs, and documents personnel training to ensure personnel have the appropriate training and understanding of QA systems.
· Performs timely review of batch production records; assures that batch records are complete, correct, and meet all pertinent documentation requirements.
· Assists in QA release of products for distribution.
· Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
· Responsible for cross-communication between shifts.
· Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
· 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
· Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
· Quality Assurance work experience (FDA-regulated business preferred)
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for root cause analysis
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills
· Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to take decisive action
· Effective communication/presentation skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.
· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures.
