Full time, about 36 hours a week. $17 to $19 per hour to start, on a ladder that tops out at $23.
Come do work that actually matters
There is a woman who walks into our office every Tuesday who could not walk without a cane four years ago. A guy walked in here after being told he needed invasive surgery on his lower back. He never had it. He is doing great, and he still has his own back.. That is not marketing copy. Those are our regulars, and somebody on our team gets to be part of that every single day.
We are looking for that somebody.
Endurance Chiropractic has been in Helena for over five years. We have helped more than 3,000 people, and over 260 of them cared enough to leave a five star review. Most of them came to us after somebody told them to just live with it. Live with the pain, live with the limp, live with not sleeping, live with skipping the things they used to love. Watching that change is the best part of this job, and you will be in the room when it happens.
Here is what else we can offer you:
- Real training on real equipment. Spinal decompression, shockwave, and laser therapy. Not many offices in Montana run all three. We will teach you every bit of it, and no healthcare experience is required to start.
- A career, not a job. There is a written ladder here with three rungs, and you will know exactly what it takes to climb it. No guessing, no politics.
- Pay you can see before you apply. It is right there in this posting, and there is nothing hidden behind it.
- A manager who talks to you. You sit down one on one with Lindsey, our office manager, every single week. You will always know where you stand.
- A team without drama. We work hard at this one. Protecting the peace in this office is an actual value, not a poster.
Now, before you send anything in, we want to be straight with you about the rest of it.
The real job
Here is what we are not going to do: call ourselves a "fast paced environment," say we are looking for a "rock star," and let you find out what that actually means on day 12.
Our first patient is at 8:30 AM, and from there the day moves in waves. The 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM stretch can bring 30 people through the door. New patients come in between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Then another wave at 11:00 AM, another at 2:00 PM, another at 4:00 PM. In between the waves you get some air, enough to reset rooms, finish what you started, and catch your breath. Then the next wave lands.
This is not a job with a busy morning and a quiet afternoon. It is a day with a pulse. Once you learn the pulse, you ride it, and the day goes fast.
The standard, and this is the hard one: the person who walks in at 4:30 PM gets the exact same energy as the person who walked in at 8:30 AM.
If you are a morning person, this might be one of the best places in Helena you could work. If you are the one who still has gas in the tank at 4:45 PM, same answer. The people who thrive here are both.
The people are the whole point
Our one big expectation: inside 30 days, you know the regulars by name and one thing about their life. Not their chart. Their life. We are not looking for someone to socialize on the floor, and during patient hours the staff chatter stays low, because the room belongs to the patients. What we are looking for is someone who actually pays attention to people, and it turns out you can do that fast.
Some people read that expectation and think "that is a lot." Other people read it and think "that is just how I already am." We are looking for the second person. Everything else we can teach you.
What you would own
- The technology. Decompression, shockwave, and laser sessions, run right every time. We train you and check you off on all three.
- The patient experience. People should leave feeling cared for, not processed. That is the actual measure of this job.
- Your paperwork, same day. Not most days. It is a small thing, and it is the thing that keeps everything else from falling apart.
- A project of your own. Outside of our standard duties live other projects to work on. We are constantly building.
The honest hard parts
We would rather you know these now than find them out in week three.
It is physical. You are up, moving, and setting up equipment most of your shift. There is no settling into the morning here. Your coffee and your quiet happen before you walk through the door.
We keep score. You will know what your numbers are and so will we. If being measured makes you itchy, this will not feel great. If you are the type who likes seeing a number and beating it, you are going to have fun here.
We talk every week. That one on one is a conversation, not a verdict, but it does mean feedback is constant. Nobody here finds out in December that something has been bugging the boss since March, and nobody sits on a question for three months waiting for a review.
It is a small team. Your work is visible and it matters. It also means when someone is out, everybody feels it.
None of that is a warning. It is just the truth. This office has structure because we built it on purpose, and the same goes for the culture.
The money and the path
Starting pay. $17 an hour. $18 once you are checked off on all three technologies. $19 once you have held your numbers for three straight quarters. No negotiating, no guessing, no waiting for somebody's mood to be right.
The ladder. Chiropractic Assistant is the first of three rungs. Above it are Patient Care Coordinator and Patient Care Director, and the top of that ladder is $23 an hour. Each rung spells out what you own and exactly what it takes to climb, so you will never have to wonder where you stand. You can just go read it.
Two honest notes. First, the rungs are measured in years, not months. This is built for somebody who wants to plant, not somebody looking for a bridge to the next thing. Second, moving up is earned on proof, not on tenure. Putting in the time is the floor, not the trigger.
The skills are yours. Training on decompression, shockwave, and laser belongs to you whether you are here two years or twenty.
Our four words
These are not wall art. They are how we actually decide things.
Building. Build ourselves, build our patients. Ownership. Claim it, carry it, close it. Peace. Protect the peace. Service. Hunt the wow.
This is a great fit if you
- Remember people's names, and their stories
- Finish what you start without being asked twice
- Would rather be busy than bored
- Self Motivated
- Like having a number to hit
- Want to be taught something real
- Think a patient hugging you because they slept through the night for the first time in a year sounds like a pretty good Tuesday
This is probably not the fit if you
- Want a quiet job where you are left alone
- Would rather not be measured
- Have said "that is not my job"
- Leave things eighty percent done and hope somebody else notices
- Bring your personal life through the front door with you
- Are energized by drama, venting, or the side conversation in the back room
- Take feedback as a personal attack
- Are looking for something to hold you over for a year
No hard feelings either way. We would rather figure that out now than both of us find out in month three.
If you are still reading, we would love to meet you
Most people who get this far already know which list they are on. If you read the hard parts and thought "yeah, that sounds like me," then here is what we are actually offering you.
A place where you are taught real skills by people who want you to be good at them. A team small enough that your work is seen and it matters. A path that is written down, so the only thing standing between you and the next rung is you. And a job where a Tuesday can end with somebody telling you they slept through the night for the first time in a year, and you knowing you had something to do with it.
That is a rare thing to find in a job. We know it, and we work hard to protect it.
Come build it with us.
How to apply
Send your resume to [email protected] and answer one question in a few sentences: tell us about a time you remembered something small about somebody and it mattered to them.
That is it. No cover letter needed. We read every single one, and you will hear back from us either way.
