Temporary Production / Utility Operator (Full-Time – ~1 Month Assignment)
We are currently hiring for a temporary full-time production/utility role (approximately a 1-month assignment). This position requires reliability, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment.
Pay
$23.75 – $24.25/hour depending on shift differential
Schedule & Hours
Shifts vary by assignment and include day, night, and weekend rotations:
- Afternoon Shift (M–F): 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Night Shift (M–F): 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
- Weekend Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Full-time schedules are typically 40 hours per week; however:
- Weekend positions require additional weekday shifts to complete a full 40-hour work week
- Employees will receive 2 consecutive days off, but 3 consecutive days off cannot be guaranteed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Utility Operator will be responsible for performing production, packing, and material handling tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Additional assignments may be given based on operational needs.
Primary Duties:
- Operate forklift in a safe and responsible manner
- Read packing orders to ensure correct tags, pallets, lot numbers, and codes are used
- Pack product into proper containers at correct weights and place on proper pallets
- Take product samples as directed on packing orders
- Set up and operate packing equipment and packaging materials
- Stack containers neatly and correctly on pallets
- Weigh, tag, and label completed pallets
- Remove dust or debris from pallets using air compressor
- Transport and stage completed pallets using forklift
Additional Duties:
- Perform daily forklift inspections and maintenance checks
- Communicate packing status with supervisor and relief operator
- Report to work on time and review shift status with previous operator
- Follow supervisor instructions and report any issues immediately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Transport sample bags to lab when required
- Complete packing reports and documentation accurately
- Track weights and production data and report abnormalities
Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Pass a math test
- Pass a reading comprehension test
- Complete a physical exam
- Pass an OSHA medical evaluation
- Complete respiratory fit testing
- Work in a physically demanding environment
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Safety & Training
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Complete required SOP and safety training prior to operating equipment
- Participate in ongoing training and certification as required
- Maintain compliance with forklift and operational safety standards

Additional Information
This is a safety-sensitive utility/production position. All candidates must complete required pre-employment screenings prior to placement.
