Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic fabrication team as a Welder/Fabricator, where you will play a vital role in constructing high-quality metal structures and components. This position offers an energetic environment focused on precision, craftsmanship, and safety. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, executing various welding techniques, and fabricating custom metal parts to meet project specifications. Whether working on construction sites or in our fabrication shop, your mechanical expertise and welding skills will drive our projects forward with confidence and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) to join metals according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication equipment to shape and assemble components.
Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and fits.
Fabricate ductwork, piping, structural steel, and sheet metal assemblies for construction or manufacturing projects.
Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely to move heavy materials and assembled structures.
Follow safety protocols on construction sites or within the fabrication shop to maintain a secure work environment.

Skills

Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety standards.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), and SMAW welding processes.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and other fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus.
Mechanical blueprint interpretation coupled with shop math skills for precise fabrication work.
Experience with pipe threading, soldering, machining, rigging, and assembly processes.
Familiarity with construction experience including ductwork installation and metal fabrication in diverse environments.
Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing or construction setting.
Knowledge of basic math, including Algebra
