Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Treatment Coordinator to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, surgical teams, and insurance providers, ensuring seamless coordination of treatment plans and administrative processes. Your patient centered approach will help foster a positive patient experience while maintaining strict adherence to health regulations and confidentiality standards. Duties

Act as the main point of contact for patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial procedures, providing clear communication and compassionate support throughout their treatment journey
Schedule consultations, surgeries, follow-up appointments, and coordinate with surgical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with health regulation policies
Assist patients with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and billing inquiries by collaborating with insurance companies and internal departments
Provide administrative support by preparing clinical and financial documentation, updating patient information, and maintaining organized medical files
Communicate effectively via phone and client communication channels to answer questions, schedule appointments, and relay important information
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery to accurately help to document procedures and patient interactions
Coordinate our comminications with referring doctors and healthcare providers who collaborate in our care of the patients.

Requirements

Proven experience specifically in an ORAL SURGERY PRACTICE and/or dental office setting, preferably within surgical practices
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software such as EMR/EHR systems
Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
Experience supporting medical administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, insurance processing, and billing support
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations
Understanding of dental and health insurance processes, including verification procedures and claims submission
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in documentation
Familiarity with medical/dental terminology specific to oral & maxillofacial surgery is preferred
Office experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable; dental office experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; typing skills for efficient documentation are essential
