INFANT/TODDLER TEACHER ($19 - $22+ per hr. DOE) - All Locations
Key Responsibilities
- Upholds company philosophy and policies, i.e. health & safety, nutrition and regulations.
- Ensure the safety, health, and developmental growth of infants in your care.
- Create a warm, responsive classroom environment using positive language and intentional play.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff.
- Maintain detailed documentation of children's developmental progress, daily reports, and assessments.
- Collaborate closely with families through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.
- Manage diapering, feeding, and sleep routines in compliance with health and licensing protocols.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training sessions.
- Plans and executes a child-centered day which promotes total development of each child, and applies knowledge of various development stages of infants/toddlers.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and maintain accurate classroom records.
- Responsible for supervision of the children or for coordinating appropriately qualified personnel in your absence as well as inform Assistant Teacher/Director.
- Develop and implement age appropriate activities and lesson plans in a fun and safe environment, following school curriculum.
- Fosters positive parent relationships through respecting the confidential nature of all information about parents, children, and staff.

- Washes children's toys daily or more often as needed.
- Maintains work areas in a sanitary and attractive manner to include sanitizing high chairs, tables, microwave, kitchen counter tops and sinks after feedings and at the end of each day.
Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
- Preferred 1 year of experience in an infant/toddler classroom.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must meet all background clearance and health requirements per NYC DOHMH.
- Teaching Certification NOT required
- Familiarity with licensing regulations and requirements for preschool programs a plus
- Previous experience working in a preschool, daycare setting, or other young children environments preferred
- Must have good organization, communication and writing skills

Key Responsibilities
- Support lead teacher to achieve classroom and program goals that benefit the daily experiences of children, parents, and staff
- Developing and maintain positive relationship with co-teachers and assistants
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Provide constant supervision of children
- Make daily observation of children to assess individual needs and development
- Model positive behavior and language
- Facilitate meals, snacks and bathroom, other activities and duties that lend to the success of the classroom and overall program
- Actively supports and participates in all activities with the kids
- Complete necessary OCFS trainings throughout the year in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in all school activities.
