Full Job Description

Overview
Silver State Adolescent Treatment Center is a new Pyschiatric Residential Treatment Program dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care for adolescents. We are committed to creating a supportive and therapeutic environment where our patients can recover, heal, and thrive.

Job Description: The Clinical Director provides clinical, regulatory, and programmatic leadership for a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility serving youth ages 11–17. This role oversees all therapeutic services, ensures compliance with federal and state Medicaid requirements, and maintains alignment with trauma‑informed, evidence‑based practices. The Clinical Director is responsible for supervising clinical staff, driving treatment quality, and ensuring the program meets HCQC, DHCFP, and Joint Commission (if applicable) standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Oversight

Provide direct oversight of all clinical services, including individual, family, and group therapy.
Ensure treatment planning meets 42 CFR 441 Subpart D requirements for PRTFs.
Lead multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and ensure coordination between therapists, nursing, milieu, education, and medical providers.
Maintain a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based clinical culture across the program.
Review and approve treatment plans, risk assessments, safety plans, and discharge plans.

Regulatory & Medicaid Compliance

Ensure full compliance with Nevada Medicaid PRTF policies, HCQC licensing standards, and federal Conditions of Participation.
Maintain documentation standards that support medical necessity, prior authorizations, and continued stay reviews.
Serve as the primary clinical contact during HCQC surveys, Medicaid audits, and accreditation reviews.
Ensure credentialing, privileging, and scope‑of‑practice alignment for all clinical staff.

Staff Supervision & Development

Supervise therapists, case managers, and clinical support staff.
Provide weekly clinical supervision (individual and/or group) in accordance with licensing board requirements.
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when needed.
Lead training initiatives in trauma‑informed care, crisis intervention, documentation, and evidence‑based practices.

Program Development & Quality Improvement

Monitor clinical outcomes, treatment fidelity, and program effectiveness.
Lead quality improvement initiatives based on data, incident trends, and regulatory feedback.
Develop and update clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and program expansion.

Family, Community, & Interagency Collaboration

Ensure consistent communication with parents/guardians, placing agencies, and community partners.
Represent the program in court hearings, CFTs, and interagency meetings as needed.
Support reintegration planning with schools, outpatient providers, and wraparound teams.

Risk Management & Safety

Participate in review of incidents, restraints, and critical events.
Ensure clinical staff follow crisis response protocols and de‑escalation standards.
Collaborate with nursing and milieu leadership to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Independent Nevada licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist).
Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience with youth in residential, acute, or high‑acuity behavioral health settings.
Supervisory experience required; PRTF or RTC experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Medicaid medical necessity, documentation standards, and HCQC regulations.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and crisis‑management skills.

Preferred Competencies

Experience with trauma‑informed care frameworks (e.g., TF‑CBT, DBT‑informed, ARC).
Familiarity with Joint Commission or CARF accreditation.
Ability to build culture, mentor teams, and navigate regulatory environments.
Strong analytical skills for data‑driven decision‑making.

Physical & Schedule Requirements

Ability to participate in on‑call rotation for clinical emergencies.
Ability to walk the milieu, attend meetings, and respond to crisis situations as needed.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
