Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management and culinary arts, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, manage inventory, product ordering, and lead the culinary team in creating delicious and innovative dishes.

Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Handle special dietary requests and accommodate guests’ needs effectively.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labor costs within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food management, and kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficient in inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels.
Exceptional communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
