The Program Manager is responsible for leadership, management, and accountability for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as complex medical and behavioral support needs. The manager upholds Pinnacle’s standards by ensuring that the agency’s mission and vision are demonstrated through high quality program designed to promote independence and continued well-being for individuals served.
Duties include all aspects of supervisory oversight: supervision of direct support professional (DSP) which encompasses training, mentoring and support to staff, staffing coverage, payroll, scheduling, maintaining quality documentation standards, and guidance/direction to the team. Additionally, the Program Manager provides direct client assistance, as well as required emergency on-call coverage duties.

- Supervisory work in a 24-hour residential program
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates a general responsibility for Residents
- Advocates for individual’s rights
- Communicates with professionals (i.e., Nurse, Behavioral Specialist, PCP, etc.) to provide care for residents
- Conducts and oversees assessments to implement and revise goals for residents
- Oversees and conducts teaching and training of staff and residents
- Monitors the implementation programming
- Monitors care provided to those assigned
- Trains staff on program modifications per ISP
- Attends required meetings such as Admissions, HRC/BIC, Discharge Planning, and PCP meetings
- Writes and prepares necessary correspondence, reports, assessments, and summaries as directed
- Available by company provided cell phone, email, and/or fax, and responding as needed
- Responsible for all documentation of staff hours worked in the residents’
- Participates in Behavior Management meetings
- Additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
- Must have and maintain a valid Nevada driving license
- Reliable transportation
- Available to work any shift based on client needs
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's in human services or related field from an accredited university/college, (Sociology, Social Services, Psychology, etc.) preferred
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience working with persons with intellectual disability or other developmental disabilities
- Must have minimum of one year experience managing 10 or more employees
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of at least 21 years of age
- 2-3 years of experience providing direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- 1-year management experience (Residential group home experience preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, including comprehending, reading, and writing the English language, with tact
- Flexible hours and ability to assistance with shift coverage, as needed
- Familiar with technology and communication devices/heavy email and app usage
- Valid Nevada driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Maintain required certifications in CPR & First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Prevention/Intervention
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
