Cirrus Aviation is a growing aviation company committed to operational excellence, safety, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership while overseeing the full spectrum of human resources operations.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic business partnership with hands-on HR leadership in a highly regulated environment.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as a trusted advisor to the President and leadership team, providing strategic HR guidance while overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle for approximately 200 employees.

This position is responsible for leading company-wide HR initiatives, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with FAA, DOT, DHS, TSA, and employment regulations, and driving organizational effectiveness through strong partnerships with leaders across the business.

The HR Manager will lead a team consisting of an HR Generalist and HR Assistant while maintaining ownership of employee relations, benefits strategy, compliance, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

Partner directly with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Provide coaching and guidance to managers and department leaders regarding employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Lead organizational initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, and culture.
Analyze HR trends and metrics to provide recommendations to leadership.
Support succession planning and talent development efforts across the organization.

Human Resources Leadership

Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
Supervise and develop HR team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Conduct and lead employee investigations, corrective actions, and performance improvement processes.
Manage leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and employee accommodations.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Benefits and Compensation

Lead benefits administration, open enrollment, employee communications, and vendor management.
Evaluate benefit offerings and provide recommendations to leadership regarding plan design and employee experience.
Partner with brokers, carriers, and vendors to manage benefit programs and annual renewals.
Support compensation reviews, market analysis, job evaluations, and pay administration.

Aviation Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with FAA, DOT, DHS, TSA, and other aviation-related regulations.
Oversee employee onboarding requirements including background checks, airport badging, employment verification, and regulatory screening requirements.
Administer and maintain the company's DOT drug and alcohol testing program, including random testing, MIS reporting, audits, EAP/SAP monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain employee records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Organizational Development

Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning efforts.
Develop programs that reinforce company values, recognition, and retention.
Create and maintain HR processes that improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
Drive continuous improvement efforts within the HR function.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
Strong employee relations and employment law knowledge.
Experience partnering directly with executive leadership.
Deep knowledge of employee benefits administration, plan design, and annual renewals.
Experience leading workplace investigations and performance management processes.
Experience managing HR compliance in a highly regulated environment.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
The ability to pass a 20-year Criminal History Records check.

Preferred

Aviation, transportation, logistics, or other regulated industry experience.
Experience supporting FAA, DOT, DHS, or TSA compliance programs.
Experience managing or supporting a PEO transition or exit.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
Experience supervising HR staff.

Starting salary of $105,000+ annually, depending on experience.
