House Manager

Private Family Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV Salary: 75-80K

A private family in Summerlin, Las Vegas is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized individual to serve as their House Manager. This is a hands-on, full-service role requiring someone who is comfortable managing household operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who anticipates needs, has a keen eye for detail, is comfortable managing conflicting priorities, communicates with discretion, and takes pride in maintaining an exceptionally well-run home.

HOUSE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Operations & Standards

Conduct daily walk-throughs of all indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure standards are maintained across housekeeping, laundry, the nanny team, and landscaping
Hold daily check-ins with household staff to communicate schedules and any direction from the family
Ensure all staff daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed on schedule

Vendor & Maintenance Management

Greet, supervise, and document all vendors; obtain bids and second opinions as needed
Manage all recurring vendors (housekeepers, pool, landscapers, car wash, dog walker) and periodic vendors (window cleaners, carpet cleaners, plumbers, handyman, holiday vendors)
Document all work, payments, and assets in our digital household manual; register new products and keep all records current
Source and coordinate household projects of all sizes — ensuring details, timelines, and invoices are accurate and properly recorded

Preventative & Reactive Maintenance

Proactively manage preventative maintenance: HVAC, hot water heater flushing, water softener, AC filters, and light bulb replacements
Respond quickly to household issues — gate malfunctions, garage doors, roof leaks, equipment failures, internet outages, tripped breakers, clogged toilets, etc.

Asset & Inventory Management

Maintain up-to-date records on all household assets — cars, appliances, furnishings, systems, etc.
Keep all household supplies stocked: cleaning, laundry, office, linens, towels, drinks, flowers, dog food, and household staples
Manage food, drink, and supplement expiration; oversee plant care
Manage mail, packages, storage spaces and units, gate access, transponders, and the front door

Staff Management

Manage schedules for housekeepers, nannies, and chef — including time-off requests, shift switches, coverage, and timecard review
Handle staff grievances, performance conversations, and onboarding of new team members
Screen and assist in interviewing new staff as needed

Systems & Technology

Maintain working knowledge of all home systems: lights, blinds, TVs, Wi-Fi, keypads, Yale locks, elevator, garage, and smart home functions
Keep the household manual current; manage household petty cash

Travel & Remote Properties

Working with the PA to coordinate household needs for travel and rental properties— scheduling staff, managing supplies, pest control, and ensuring remote properties are properly maintained
Create and review staff work lists at primary residence during family travel

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a private household, estate management, or executive support role
Knowledge of high end housekeeping and laundry care
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Highly resourceful
Proactive self-starter who anticipates needs and takes initiative without being asked
Excellent communication skills and a high degree of discretion and professionalism
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Tech savvy
