Art Teacher (Logic & Rhetoric School) – Part-Time
We are seeking a creative, dependable, and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our school community. This part-time position offers the opportunity to inspire students through engaging visual arts instruction in a supportive educational environment. Position Overview
The Art Teacher will plan and lead age-appropriate art lessons, encourage creativity and artistic skill development, and foster an appreciation for the visual arts. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, communicates effectively, and creates a positive, organized classroom environment.
Logic School (8th Grade Art)
- Teach 8th Grade Art classes
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 2:35–3:25 p.m.
- Assignment covers two trimesters.
Third Trimester Opportunity
Depending on the candidate's experience and interests, there may be an opportunity to continue teaching during the third trimester by:
- Teaching a Ceramics course (preferred for candidates with ceramics experience), or
- Leading a Grammar School Art Club, meeting approximately Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45–4:00 p.m. (schedule may be flexible).
Rhetoric School Art
We are also seeking availability to teach Rhetoric School Art.
Preferred schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- 1:40–2:30 p.m.
If a four-day schedule is not possible, we will also consider candidates who are available on either:
- Monday & Thursday, or
- Tuesday & Friday.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons appropriate for the assigned grade levels.
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized art space.
- Encourage creativity, artistic exploration, and skill development.
- Foster a respectful, positive classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and families as needed.
- Support the school's mission and community through excellent instruction and student engagement.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching art or working with children or adolescents is preferred.
- A mature Christian who demonstrates biblical character and servant leadership
- Background in visual arts, art education, or a related field is desirable.
- Ceramics experience is a plus for candidates interested in the third trimester ceramics course.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- A passion for encouraging creativity and helping students grow in confidence and artistic expression.

Pay is commensurate on experience and education.
Range for compensation for part-time could be from 20K-25K. Can be discussed in interview.
