Director of First Impressions
(Part-Time)
Job Overview:
At Derbyshire Baptist Church, first impressions matter; the ones people get online and the ones people get when they call or walk in the door. We are looking for someone who can shape both. The Director of First Impression will be the first voice and face of Derbyshire Baptist Church, online and in person. This role shapes how people experience our church from the moment they find us on social media or walk through the door.
This person will create and post content that helps people discover and connect with our church through social media and our website. You’ll also be the friendly face and voice in the office: answering the phone, greeting guests, and helping keep everyday operations running smoothly.
This is a hybrid role for someone who enjoys:
· Creating engaging, on-brand content (Facebook, Instagram, website)
· Using tools like Canva and Microsoft Office
· Meeting people with warmth and helping them feel welcome
· Staying organized and taking initiative
What you will do:
· Create and manage engaging, cohesive content for our website, and social media platforms, so our online presence feels current, warm, and true to who we are.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for guests and members. Greet people at the door, answer phones, and help create a welcoming atmosphere.
· Support the ministry team with light office tasks (bulletin preparation, Welcome Center stocking, and other duties as assigned)
Who we’re looking for
· Someone who enjoys both creative content work and people
· Strong communication, organization, and basic marketing instincts
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365, Canva, social media scheduling, and website updates
· Outgoing, warm, self-motivated, and able to keep content fresh without constant direction
Work Schedule:
This position reports to the Pastor’s Executive Secretary and works closely with the pastoral team. Hours are typically during office hours (24-29 hours per week) with some flexibility as needed.
