MDS is seeking an Account Manager to join the MDS team. Our most successful Account Manager has experience working in a fast-paced environment to bring a high quality of service to customers. After completing an initial training program, you will be assigned an existing territory of dairies, ag businesses, food processing companies. You will serve as the face of MDS, providing recommendations on advanced cow health, cleaning, sanitation, milk production and other food production processes and programs that drive a positive experience and create cleaner, safer, high productive and healthier environments.
The Account Manager will visit the customers as set by scheduling with the customer’s manager that handles the purchasing. This schedule will be coordinated with setting cold call to new or developing customers. This schedule will be pre-planned ahead and a route card turned in to the area manager the Thursday prior to the planned route. The duties while at customers will be to manage a customer inventory and reorder program, use trained knowledge to evaluate animal health, production system needs, identify customer needs and provide solutions, present products and services to sell customer MDS solutions, place orders, track customers, purchases and manage the customer account.

What You Will Do: Grow sales within an existing territory of accounts by providing customers with service and training. Apply your mechanical aptitude to install, repair and perform maintenance on sanitary equipment and systems. Assess and learn customers' systems and devise unique solutions as their expert on advanced processes and programs. Leverage your hands-on service combined with MDS's consultative sales approach to enhance our total value to the customer; provide emergency response to appreciative customers. The Account Manager will demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that your customers' facilities are fully in operation and teams are properly trained.
Responsibilities:
· Train, develop and manage as Account Manager Representatives.
· Train on Miguel Dairy Service systems for selling, purchase order, work order, job cost, scheduling, documentation process then operate and manage account to these procedures. Full MDS training and understanding of Builder-trend and Jonas systems including P.O., inventory, purchasing, dispatch, warehouse, eMobile and approval process systems
· Train and develop a complete Understanding of Environment Evaluations.
· Train and have knowledge of MDS product lines and customer locations.
· Train and Perform Dairy Industry Skills Program (Complete manager evaluation/affirmation):
· Track flow of service requests to ensure customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
· Conduct End-of-day Check-In / Morning Check-Out process with Service Representatives to ensure daily expectations are met and employees are prepared for the day.
· Fulfill duties of Service Representative when he/she is absent.
· Provide field coaching and sales training to Sales Representatives.
· Work to prevent and resolve Account Manager issues and complaints.
· Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner.
· Required attendance at a two (2) weeklong on-boarding, regulatory and position specific training course that will be held out of town.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. No Immigration Sponsorship available. Physical Demands: Ability to complete pre-employment assessments including a physical, lift and/or carry 50 pounds, drug screen required.
Qualifications: Ag or Service industry experience, customer service experience where you have directly interfaced with customers. Previous business to business commercial sales or outside sales experience Industry related experience in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, and/or pool and spa
Typical shift is 8-10 hours to include frequent computer usage. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must sit, stand, bend, climb, crawl, reach, squat, stoop and twist. Employee must also be able to lift, carry, pull or push from between 10-50+ lbs., with repetitive movement of both hands. Employee may also be required to drive a vehicle and move equipment.
Compensation:
Salary 85,000/annual + bonus structure to earn on performance up to 130,000
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
