Full Job Description

Marloo Equipment, LLC is a family-owned agricultural equipment dealer providing sales, maintenance and repair services, and parts for many types of farm implements.

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and energetic salesperson to cover sales territory in New York, Pennsylvania and surrounding states. This position is responsible for building and maintaining the dealership’s customer base within the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide outstanding customer service and focus on High Payoff Activities daily

· Contact current and prospective customers to discuss products and solicit orders

· Discover customers’ needs and recommend product and service solutions

· Provide customers with product brochures and literature

· Prepare written sales quotes and orders

· Facilitate customer credit applications

· Coordinate and schedule products demonstrations at the dealership or customer locations

· Arrange and coordinate scheduling of product deliveries and transfers

· Attend delivery of customer equipment purchases

· Train customers and/or their employees on equipment functions and operations

· Contact customers before and after the sale to provide ongoing support, build and maintain relationships, and develop new sales leads

· Identify prospective customers by reviewing customer lists and property maps, and attending trade shows and industry events

· Complete related paperwork including warranty registrations and travel expense reports

· Record sales activity including customer contacts and deal status updates

· Develop and achieve personal sales goals

· Attend related sales and product training sessions and meetings

· Assist with general dealership operations as required

· Constructively work with management, coworkers and customers

· Make a minimum of 15 farm visits per week

The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of agricultural practices and issues, strong selling and negotiation skills, competency with computerized sales tools and reports, willingness to work flexible hours, a competitive nature that drives performance, and the ability to prioritize with strong attention to detail. Honesty and trustworthiness are of upmost importance in this position.

Travel

The position requires daily travel throughout the territory with some overnight travel. Company and outside training opportunities may require weekly travel outside of your territory up to 3 to 4 weeks per year. Due to the nature of this position, a good driving record is required.

Experience

Preferred ag background with sales experience (2+ years preferred)

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in a related field
