Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to diverse patient populations in our outpatient clinic. Responsibilities

Implement personalized physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of licensed therapists, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
Assist with clinical assessment documentation by recording patient progress, treatment responses, and adherence to care plans in accordance with clinical documentation standards.
Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, answer questions, and promote active participation in recovery.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure all medical documentation complies with regulatory standards.
Support patients across various settings including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care environments to optimize mobility and function.

Requirements

Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation practices.
Proficiency in medical equipment operation relevant to physical therapy interventions.
Excellent caregiver and client communication skills to foster trust and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
Commitment to adhering to clinical documentation standards and maintaining high-quality medical documentation at all times.
