Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and safety of all kitchenware and food preparation areas while assisting with meal prep and food handling. Your dedication will support our commitment to high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency, contributing to a vibrant, fast-paced environment that values teamwork and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following recipe guidelines and safety protocols.
Support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients for daily menus, including portioning and basic food assembly.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools.
Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to strict sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules throughout shifts.
Follow food safety regulations diligently during food handling, storage, and preparation processes.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep activities and ensure timely service delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary practices.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and operating kitchen equipment safely.
Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong food handling skills.
Understanding of safety standards in production environments and adherence to food safety management practices.
Skilled in knife handling techniques such as slicing and dicing with precision.
Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in meal preparation.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
Prior catering or food industry experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
