Schedule
5 days per week
6 to 8 hours per day

During the school year, the ideal schedule may include morning support from approximately 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and afternoon support from approximately 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

During the summer, the schedule may be closer to 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM most days. Flexibility is important, as the family’s schedule can vary.

Compensation and Benefits
$60,000 gross annual salary, paid on a W2
Private live in accommodations provided at the family’s second property
7 paid sick or personal days
7 paid vacation days
3 paid holidays
Monthly health and wellness stipend provided
Vehicle provided for work related driving during working hours
Relocation candidates will be considered

Live In Accommodations
The candidate will be provided private live in accommodations at the family’s second property, a very nice fully furnished 3 bedroom ranch style farmhouse located on 52 acres approximately 7 minutes from the primary residence. The home is currently empty, offering the candidate privacy, space, and a peaceful living environment separate from the main household.

Position Overview
A busy, warm, and active private family in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking an energetic, organized, and highly capable live in Household Manager to help support the daily flow of the home, children’s schedules, household activities, and overall family organization.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lively family environment and can bring structure, calm, and consistency to a busy household while enjoying private accommodations at a beautiful nearby property. The family has five children ranging in age from infant to teenager. The children are active, energetic, and involved in school, sports, tutoring, and other activities.

The household is laid back, easygoing, and slightly chaotic in the way many active family homes are. The ideal candidate will be able to step in with confidence, help keep everyone organized, and make the family’s day to day life feel more manageable.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, flexible, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a busy private household. This person should enjoy children, understand the needs of a large family, and be able to help create structure without being rigid.

The family is seeking someone who can anticipate needs, keep schedules moving, and help ensure the children understand their responsibilities and expectations. A calm, proactive, and positive personality is essential.

The right candidate will be comfortable with a family schedule that can change, as one parent’s work involves managing crews in multiple states and can be difficult to predict. Flexibility, communication, and the ability to adapt are very important.

Key Responsibilities
Help manage children’s schedules, household activities, and daily routines

Assist with morning routines, including helping children get ready and off to school

Help plan the day and communicate schedules, activities, and expectations

Assist with after school routines, including transportation to practices, tutoring, and activities

Help ensure homework is completed and school responsibilities are understood

Support household organization and help keep the home running smoothly

Assist with meal planning, simple meal support, and family responsibilities as needed

Help maintain structure and accountability for the children

Keep household spaces organized and functional

Coordinate with parents regarding schedules, priorities, errands, and family needs

Drive children to and from activities, practices, tutoring, and appointments as needed

Assist with errands and household related tasks

Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, children, and service providers

Work collaboratively with existing household support, including laundry help and weekly housekeeping

Help create systems that support a smoother household flow

Provide calm, organized support in a busy and active family environment

Travel with the family as mutually agreed upon

Maintain discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times

Requirements
Prior experience as a Household Manager, Family Assistant, Nanny, Household Assistant, or similar private household role

Experience working with children and busy family schedules

Strong organizational skills

Energetic, proactive, and dependable

Comfortable helping children stay on task with routines, homework, and responsibilities

Able to manage multiple moving pieces with patience and flexibility

Strong communication skills

Comfortable working in a laid back but active household

Able to bring structure and consistency to a busy family environment

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Comfortable driving children as needed

Professional, discreet, trustworthy, and reliable

Comfortable working around existing household staff

Open to occasional travel

Comfortable living at a private residence located approximately 7 minutes from the main household

Authorized to work in the United States

Household Details
The primary residence is a two story home with 5 bedrooms and approximately 4,000 square feet, along with a separate pool house that includes a bathroom and loft.

The family also has a fully furnished 3 bedroom ranch style farmhouse on 52 acres located approximately 7 minutes from the primary residence. This residence will serve as the candidate’s private live in accommodations.

The household includes five children, ages 17, 15, 12, 10, and 6 months.

No pets.

The family currently has laundry help 12 hours per week across 3 days and a housekeeper who comes once per week.

Travel
The family spends approximately 3 to 4 weeks in Greece during the summer, currently planned for June 3 through July 4. The candidate may have the opportunity to travel with the family if mutually agreed upon.

The family may also travel occasionally for approximately one week at a time to the Caribbean or other destinations.
