Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an opportunity to lead food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will bring extensive culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for fine dining to our dynamic hospitality environment. The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday, offering 2 days off, back to back every week.

Ownership is already building another concept so there is a lot of room to grow!

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, service, and sanitation procedures.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence.
Participate in menu planning, ensuring offerings meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Manage inventory control and food handling to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
Support catering events and banquet services by coordinating food preparation and presentation.
Monitor food service management processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
Lead shift management activities, including assigning tasks and maintaining smooth workflow.
Uphold dietary department standards by accommodating special dietary needs with precision.
Assist in training staff on food safety, cooking techniques, and hospitality best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing culinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive banquet, catering, and restaurant experience with knowledge of menu planning and event execution.
Familiarity with inventory management, cost control, and food industry best practices.
Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures, handling, and hygiene standards.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
Competence in managing multiple responsibilities such as shift management, food service operations, and inventory control.
Previous experience working within the hospitality sector or restaurant management is highly desirable.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality.
Passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
