Job Overview – Ocala Market

Right at Home Nature Coast is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence throughout the community and drive referral growth for our private duty home care services.

The Business Development Manager will be an integral member of the management team and report directly to the Owner and President. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, physician offices, veterans' organizations, and community groups. This position serves as a key ambassador for the organization and plays a vital role in helping seniors and veterans access quality care at home.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills who is passionate about serving older adults and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Referral Growth

Develop and maintain referral relationships throughout Marion County
Conduct routine in-person visits with healthcare providers, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, senior living communities, rehabilitation facilities, and physician offices
Generate qualified referrals and identify new business opportunities
Develop strategic partnerships within the healthcare and senior care communities
Promote and monitor online marketing and reputation
Create and execute territory growth plans
Track referral activity, follow-up efforts, and relationship development

Community Outreach

Represent Right at Home at networking events, health fairs, chamber events, veteran events, and community programs
Conduct educational presentations for healthcare professionals, caregivers, seniors, and community organizations
Promote awareness of available home care services and resources
Build relationships with local organizations serving seniors and veterans

Client & Referral Source Support

Educate referral sources and families about available services
Assist prospective clients and families through the inquiry process
Ensure exceptional customer service and responsiveness
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery

Market Development

Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Identify opportunities for growth and service expansion
Provide regular reports on referral activity, community engagement, and business development efforts
Participate in strategic planning and growth initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, admissions, sales, community relations, or senior services
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a territory
Professional appearance and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance

Preferred Experience

Home care, home health, hospice, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare sales experience
Established referral relationships within the local healthcare community
Knowledge of private duty home care services
Experience working with seniors, caregivers, veterans, or healthcare providers
Familiarity with the Marion County market
