The Daybreak School of Music is seeking a passionate, organized, and entrepreneurial-minded School Director to lead day-to-day operations and contribute to the continued growth of our thriving music school. Job Summary
As a key part of our operations, you will be the first point of contact for students, families, and staff. This role involves a variety of administrative duties, customer service interactions, and organizational tasks. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, tech-savvy, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
As School Director, you’ll oversee the daily functioning of our music school and ensure a consistently high-quality experience for students, parents, and staff. Responsibilities include:
- Student Enrollment: Onboard and register new students, coordinate trial lessons, and ensure smooth transitions into programs
- Customer Experience: Foster a warm, welcoming environment for students and families; address concerns promptly and professionally
- Teacher & Staff Support: Maintain a motivated teaching staff and supervise front desk operations as needed
- Revenue Growth: Collaborate on and implement creative strategies to grow enrollment and increase revenue
- Facility Management: Ensure our facility remains organized, clean, and fully stocked
- Marketing & Outreach: Attend local promotional events and explore outreach opportunities
- Scheduling & Billing: Oversee scheduling systems, manage student accounts, and ensure timely and accurate billing
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records using tools such as Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, and basic CRM platforms
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday: Generally 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Directors are expected to be on-site at least 5 days per week.
Qualifications
Required:
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous management and sales experience
- Proficient with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Comfortable using Apple/Mac computers
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred:
- Music background or interest in music education
- Experience with:
- Canva (design)
- Mailchimp (email marketing)
- WellnessLiving (CRM/scheduling)
- RingCentral (communications)
