Job Title: Pediatrician - Inpatient

Location: York, PA

Employment Type: Part Time (.5 FTE)

About the Opportunity:

Inpatient coverage for a 9-bed pediatric unit and a Newborn Nursery
Manage pediatric admissions at York Hospital and provide pediatric consults for Emergency Medicine and across the health system
About the Nursery - Level I nursery supported by a Level III NICU, Newborns 22 weeks and above
Shifts: Nursery shifts: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Hospital shifts: 24-hour shifts or 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- .5 FTE = 20 hours/week (averaged)
- Night call taken from home
- Ability to combine night shift and nursery coverage

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Teaching skills.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Good phone skills.
Excellent Customer Service.
Organized, sets priorities, and able to multi-task.
