Overview

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Omakase Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will craft exquisite, authentic sushi experiences by expertly preparing and presenting omakase-style dishes that delight our guests. Your mastery of sushi techniques, attention to detail, and leadership in the kitchen will elevate our dining experience to new heights. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality omakase sushi courses with precision, artistry, and consistency, ensuring each dish meets our standards of excellence.
Lead the sushi station by supervising food production, managing ingredient quality, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support seamless service.
Oversee food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to deliver an outstanding guest experience through attentive service and menu customization.
Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques, presentation standards, and safety protocols to foster skill development.
Maintain accurate inventory control of seafood, rice, condiments, and other ingredients essential for authentic sushi preparation.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Omakase Sushi Chef or in a similar role within fine dining or high-end Japanese cuisine settings.
Extensive knowledge of sushi techniques, fish handling, food preparation, and presentation artistry.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and inventory management in a restaurant environment.
Demonstrated ability to plan menus thoughtfully while considering dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy service hours.
Previous experience in banquet service, catering, or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
