Your expertise in sushi preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations will be essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence. As a key member of our restaurant, you will bring energy, precision, and creativity to every plate you prepare, ensuring each guest receives an unforgettable culinary journey.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards
Maintain strict food safety and sanitation practices throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while upholding quality standards
Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative sushi options that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage to minimize waste
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the sushi station and overall kitchen environment
Provide excellent food service by engaging with guests when appropriate, explaining menu items, and ensuring satisfaction

Experience

Proven dietary department or dietary aide experience in a culinary or food service setting
Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi or Japanese cuisine, including fine dining environments
Strong food preparation skills, particularly in seafood handling, knife techniques, and meal assembly
Background in restaurant or food industry settings with demonstrated kitchen experience
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling raw ingredients
Experience in catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus
Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on precision, presentation, and consistency
