Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrating proficiency in assisting with daily living activities and providing support in various clinical settings. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients across diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of changes to nursing staff.
Support patients with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic life support techniques when necessary.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in all patient interactions.
Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including those with dementia or behavioral health conditions.
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to safely transfer or reposition patients with mobility challenges.
Document patient information accurately in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.

Qualifications

Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; current state licensure required.
Prior experience working in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care.
Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes.
Familiarity with specialized care areas including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, memory care, hospice, ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatric units (PICU), and behavioral health environments.
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays across diverse age groups.
Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings requiring acute attention to detail.
