Full Job Description

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience

An established and growing Central Texas civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support our Project Management and Estimating teams.

Our work is primarily focused on civil construction and underground utilities, including water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, site infrastructure, and related municipal and commercial projects.

We are looking for a highly organized, motivated individual who understands civil construction, is proficient with Procore, and can take ownership of responsibilities without needing to be micromanaged.

This is not an entry-level position. Civil construction experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of active civil construction projects
Support the Estimating team with bidding, preconstruction, project setup, and turnover
Manage project documentation and workflows within Procore
Create, maintain, and update construction project schedules
Review, process, distribute, and track submittals
Prepare, submit, and track RFIs
Assist with tracking change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and project costs
Read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, details, and project documents
Understand plan sets related to water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, grading, paving, and site utilities
Coordinate with Project Managers, estimators, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, owners, and municipalities
Track deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding items
Assist with project startup, material approvals, project documentation, and closeout
Maintain accurate and organized electronic project files
Identify missing information, conflicts, and potential issues before they impact the project
Help ensure Project Managers and field personnel have the information needed to keep projects moving

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of construction experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role
Civil, heavy civil, underground utility, or site construction experience strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of Procore
Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings and specifications
Experience reviewing and managing submittals and RFIs
Experience creating and maintaining construction project schedules
Strong computer and technology skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
Strong attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

Up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience
Full-time, 40-hour work week

About the Opportunity

This position plays an important role between our Estimating, Project Management, and Field Operations teams.

We need someone who understands that successful civil construction projects require more than paperwork. You need to understand the plans, know what information the field needs, stay ahead of submittals and RFIs, track schedules and deadlines, and make sure important items don't fall through the cracks.

If you have civil construction experience, are proficient in Procore, can confidently read civil plans, understand submittals and RFIs, and can manage your responsibilities without constant supervision, we encourage you to apply.
