eMarine Systems is a renewable energy and electrical power solutions company specializing in solar, wind, battery, inverter, and hybrid power systems for marine, RV, mobile, and land-based applications. For more than two decades, we have helped customers design, install, maintain, and repair reliable off-grid and backup power systems.
We are looking for a Service & Repair Technician or motivated Trainee to join our team. This position is suitable for an experienced technician or someone with basic electrical knowledge who is interested in developing hands-on expertise in renewable energy and electrical equipment repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair solar, wind, battery, inverter, and electrical power systems
- Troubleshoot electrical problems in boats, RVs, mobile applications, and land-based renewable energy systems
- Test and repair inverters, inverter/chargers, charge controllers, battery chargers, monitoring equipment, and related components
- Perform system inspections, preventive maintenance, wiring checks, and electrical testing
- Identify failed components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements
- Assist with equipment installations, system upgrades, and commissioning
- Use electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify system faults
- Document service findings, repairs performed, parts used, and recommended follow-up work
- Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and other team members
- Work with manufacturers and technical support departments when advanced troubleshooting is required
- Maintain an organized, safe, and professional service workspace
Qualifications
- Previous experience or a strong interest in electrical repair, renewable energy, solar power, marine electrical systems, or related technical work
- Basic understanding of electricity, wiring, voltage, current, and electrical safety
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and electrical testing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
- Willingness to learn about new products, technologies, and diagnostic procedures
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently after receiving training
- Comfortable working with computers and basic service documentation software
Experience with inverters, batteries, solar panels, charge controllers, marine electrical equipment, or off-grid power systems is a plus but is not required. Training will be provided for a motivated candidate with the right technical aptitude.

Location
Fort Lauderdale, FL - On-site position with occasional local field service work
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday
The position may be filled at either the Technician or Trainee level depending on the candidate's experience, electrical knowledge, and technical skills.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
