Overview

Join our dynamic retail team as a Lead Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and leadership will drive exceptional customer experiences and sales success. In this role, you will serve as a key team member responsible for guiding sales activities, mentoring associates, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. Your energy and proactive approach will inspire your team to achieve goals, deliver outstanding service, and maintain a welcoming environment for all customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while contributing to a vibrant retail setting.

Duties

Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring every shopper feels valued and satisfied
Supervise daily store operations, including stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining store cleanliness
Assist customers with product demonstrations and provide detailed product knowledge to enhance their shopping experience
Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash register operations and cash handling
Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to maximize sales opportunities
Oversee stock levels, coordinate inventory replenishment, and ensure proper merchandising standards are maintained
Train and supervise team members on sales techniques, phone etiquette, cash register procedures, and customer service best practices
Handle retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and cash drawer balancing with precision
Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits effectively to customers
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while managing customer inquiries via phone or in person

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a retail environment or similar setting with leadership responsibilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations is preferred
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships
Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and responsibly
Familiarity with upselling strategies and product demos to enhance sales performance
Previous experience in grocery or retail sales environments is advantageous
