CNC MACHINIST- PROGRAMMER OPERATOR
Diversified Machining & Fabrication (DMF) is a Job Shop. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer Operator to join our team. The position is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role is tasked with working closely with other CNC and manual machinist to increase productivity and optimize machining programs and procedures.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
CNC Programmer / Set-Up Candidate must possess the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings to plan manufacturing operation sequences. Design robust processes that repeat and meet specification for efficiency and quality. Plans and programs, set ups and production runs. Machine complex parts to meet customer specifications in a wide variety of materials and sizes. Inspect parts to customer print to tolerances of +/- .0002”, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Interpret all customer specifications per print. Experience of program, set up and operation of CNC Mills/Lathes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop complex programs for precision parts manufactured on CNC Machines.
- Set up and Operate CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Run multiple machines simultaneously as needed.
- Use CamWorks CAD/CAM/CAE program to program CNC parts
- Vericut NC files as well as maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets
- Monitor the feed and speed parameters during the machining process for maximum tool life.
- Resolve and optimize variation of material removal rate.
- Read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- QC and Inspect parts.
- Must have working knowledge of machining stainless, copper, aluminum and plastics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Certificate of Training for programming software or equivalent CAM system for multi axes milling is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate both written and orally in the English language.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of CNC programming and operating.
- High level proficiency with programming software and experience writing complex CNC programs
- High level proficiency operating multi axis mill and lathe CNC machines
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
