About the Opportunity/Position Highlights

Manages patients undergoing general, regional and local anesthesia appropriately.

Develops an appropriate anesthetic plan of care taking into account the patient's medical history and test results.

Works in conjunction with the anesthesiologist to form an integrated anesthesia care team.

Performs venous and arterial access procedures as necessary.

More than 4,200 hospital employees provide services through an extensive inpatient and outpatient network, including Jeff Gordon Children's Center, Hayes Family Center and Batte Cancer Center, part of Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute. Handles over 18,000 cases annually. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) that functions at a medical level of care to provide anesthesia, analgesia, and pain management services across the patient lifespan in a variety of settings. Clinical responsibilities may include ambulatory, surgery center and/or hospital anesthesia services. The CRNA participates as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high quality, cost effective, and evidenced-based care. The CRNA demonstrates the highest levels of professionalism and upholds the missions, visions, and values of Advocate Health.The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide care within their scope of practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, regulations, institutional policy, privileges, and practice agreements.
