Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Provides proactive and high-quality administrative support to the TCP Leadership Team and plant operations. Coordinates schedules, meetings, events, communications, travel, office resources, and plant activities while maintaining a professional and organized work environment.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and support plant activities and events, including customer and executive leadership visits
Represent the site professionally to internal stakeholders, customers, and the outside community
Manage calendars, agendas, appointments, and meetings for the Plant Manager
Prepare PowerPoint presentations, graphs, reports, and other business materials
Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements for customers, visitors, and staff
Manage plant-wide communications through email and BAS postings
Maintain conference room, cubicle, and office calendars
Manage seating charts for TCP1 and TCP2
Support office operations, including calls, mail, filing, and post office box activities
Maintain and order office supplies within budget
Coordinate snacks, beverages, food-service items, and PPE supplies
Partner with Facilities and cleaning teams to maintain a clean and organized plant environment
Qualifications
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional and approachable with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Proactive, dependable, and able to anticipate needs
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Strong computer and smartphone technology skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience preferred
3+ years of administrative assistant experience preferred
Demonstrated record of successful performance
Experience supporting leadership teams or plant operations preferred
Experience coordinating meetings, events, travel, and office activities preferred
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm

The range for this position is $51,452.00 - $70,747.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
