The Carolinas Agency is building a producer bench across the Triad and the Carolinas. If you're a sales professional who knows how to sit across the table from a business owner and close — and you're tired of resetting to zero every January — this is the role.

We're an independent employee benefits agency serving small businesses (5–50 employees) with a three-pillar product stack: Direct Primary Care, Rx Programs, and supplemental coverage including dental, disability, and life. People-powered tech. Real back-office support. Vested renewals. A defined path from Account Executive to Agency Sales Manager.

What you'll do

Open new business with small business owners and HR decision-makers across the Carolinas
Run a disciplined prospecting cadence — 40 drops, 100 dials, 8 demos set per week
Lead discovery, present tailored benefit solutions, and close
Own the long-term client relationship as the face of the VOLA partnership
Partner with our Coordinator team for clean handoffs from sale to enrollment
Build a book that pays you for as long as your cases persist

What we provide

Brand-approved materials — proposals, brochures, pitch decks, audit tools
Transparent comp — commission statements on a regular cadence with full visibility into how every dollar was earned
Vested renewals — cases you write keep paying you, per the Producer Agreement
Mentorship from senior producers and direct access to the Managing Partner
Structured 90-day onboarding with weekly 1:1s and milestone reviews at Day 30 / 60 / 90

Who we're looking for

You're one of these three profiles:

Experienced producer — already licensed at a competitor or competing independent. Ready for a better split and a real product stack. Ramp: 7–30 days.
B2B sales athlete — sales rep from payroll (ADP, Paychex), HR-tech SaaS, medical devices, or commercial banking. You know how to sell to owners and HR. We sponsor your licensing. Ramp: 30–90 days.
High-performer career changer — former banker, financial advisor, real-estate agent, or agency-side hospitality leader. You've built trust with business owners and you're ready for better economics. Ramp: 60–120 days.

What we need to see:

Comfort across the table from a business owner, CFO, or HR director
A consultative selling style — discovery before pitch
Activity discipline — willing to drop 40 brochures and dial 100 numbers a week to fill the calendar
An active North Carolina Life & Health Insurance Producer license, or willingness to obtain one within 45 days of start (we sponsor the course and exam fees)
Clean compliance and conduct record

The 12-month path

This engagement is the first step on a defined growth path. After your first 12 months, you may be eligible for consideration as an Agency Sales Manager — a leadership role with override compensation, expanded book ownership, and direct mentorship responsibility for newer producers. Production gets you considered; leadership gets you advanced.
