We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and innovative sushi dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and freshness. Your expertise will elevate our dining experience, delighting guests with beautifully prepared sushi and related Japanese cuisine. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals dedicated to precision, creativity, and delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with food safety standards.
Select fresh ingredients and manage inventory to ensure optimal quality and availability.
Develop new sushi recipes and presentation techniques to keep menus innovative and engaging.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service.
Educate team members on sushi preparation techniques and culinary best practices.
Uphold all health regulations and safety protocols while working efficiently under pressure.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant or culinary setting.
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation, knife skills, and ingredient handling.
Experience working with fresh seafood and understanding of food safety standards.
Ability to develop creative sushi recipes and presentation styles.
Excellent classroom management skills for training junior staff or new team members.
Knowledge of culinary arts, including cooking techniques, flavor pairing, and plating aesthetics.
Familiarity with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Passion for Japanese cuisine with a commitment to quality and authenticity.
