Machinist – Join Our Team!
Do you love working with CNC machines and creating precision parts? We’re looking for a skilled Machinist to bring their expertise in CNC milling, turning, and fabrication to our growing team at AUTEC Car Wash Systems, part of a family of innovative brands including PHYZIX Chemistry and Peak Wash Solutions.
This is your chance to work with a company that designs and builds advanced car wash equipment and chemical systems used by operators nationwide. If you know your way around G-code, can set up CNC mills and lathes, and take pride in precision machining, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do
- Set up and run CNC mills and lathes (with trial runs to check accuracy).
- Prep raw materials — cut, measure, mark, and get them ready for machining.
- Program, edit, and troubleshoot G-code for top-quality results.
- Perform tooling set up, tool changes, adjustments, and routine machine maintenance.
- Read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to check quality.
- Conduct routine CNC Machine maintenance and support preventative maintenance activities.
- Operate saws and other machines for material prep.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering requirements.
- Keep your work area organized, safe, and clean.
- Work closely with the team to solve problems and keep jobs moving.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on CNC milling and turning experience (manual machining a plus).
- Solid knowledge of G-code programming/editing.
- Skilled at tooling setup, tool changes, and machine maintenance.
- Ability to read prints and use precision measuring tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and great communication.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a bonus.
Physical Side of the Job
- Standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials (up to 50 lbs frequently, 100 lbs with help).
- Using hands, arms, and eyes for precise work.
