Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this engaging position, you will implement individualized treatment plans, collect and analyze data, and support clients in developing essential skills. Your compassionate approach and dedication will help foster meaningful progress and improve quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education.

Duties

Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
Collect accurate data on client behaviors, responses, and progress to inform treatment adjustments
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to enhance independence
Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication, social, academic, and self-care skills
Maintain detailed and confidential medical documentation, records, and care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages client engagement and growth

Requirements

Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies
Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges
Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and medical record keeping
Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as an RBT is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates willing to obtain certification upon hire
