Weekend PRN Home Care CNA / Caregiver – Caregiver Solutions Program

Carolina Caring is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Patient Sitters to join our Caregiver Solutions Program. In this role, you will provide non-medical support, companionship, and supervision for patients in their homes or healthcare settings.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible days and hours designed to accommodate caregiver availability.

Shift Details:

Weekend shifts only: 7 AM – 3 PM or 8 AM – 8 PM
PRN (as-needed), flexible scheduling to fit your availability
Mileage reimbursement included

Education: Certified as a Nursing Assistant. NA I must have current listing as NA I with DFS. NA II must have a current listing as NA I with DFS and current listing as NA II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Must maintain CPR certification.

Experience: One-year clinical experience preferred. Hospice or home health care experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

Ability to make meaningful observations and complete required documentation.
Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with patients and their caregivers.
Understands and supports the hospice philosophy of care.
Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
Competency shall be demonstrated by passing competency and skills examination by a qualified licensed nurse.
Proficient computer skills with MS Office products.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Maintains current, unrestricted driver’s license.
Maintains minimum automobile liability insurance for duration of employment.
