Full Job Description

Warehouse Inventory Control Coordinator

Full-Time | 1st Shift | In-Person
Pay: $15.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

Cathtek Inc. is seeking a highly organized and process-driven Warehouse Inventory Control Coordinator to take complete ownership of the organization, control, documentation, and reporting of inventory for one warehouse.

This is a hands-on, one-person department with no direct support staff. The position emphasizes managing the warehouse’s inventory systems, procedures, records, deadlines, and accuracy—not simply performing general warehouse labor.

The selected candidate will personally complete the daily work while managing inventory movement, storage locations, cycle counts, physical inventory cards, Excel records, discrepancy resolution, and month-end and year-end reporting.

Cathtek currently tracks inventory through physical inventory cards, supporting paperwork, and Excel spreadsheets rather than a traditional warehouse management system.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage all daily warehouse and inventory-control activities independently.
Establish and maintain organized, clearly labeled storage, shelf, bin, and warehouse locations.
Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, documented, and easily located.
Manage inventory received, stored, transferred, issued, returned, quarantined, released, scrapped, or adjusted.
Maintain accurate physical inventory cards, transaction paperwork, and Excel records.
Ensure physical inventory and all supporting records remain in agreement.
Establish and enforce reliable inventory-movement and documentation procedures.
Maintain control of QC quarantine inventory until materials are approved and released.
Develop and maintain a consistent cycle-count schedule.
Perform cycle counts and investigate all inventory variances.
Determine the cause of shortages, overages, missing materials, and record discrepancies.
Correct approved discrepancies across physical inventory, cards, paperwork, and Excel.
Follow up on missing paperwork, unrecorded movements, and incomplete transactions.
Identify weak inventory controls and implement improved procedures.
Provide accurate inventory information to Production, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Management.
Prepare and submit a complete month-end inventory report by the first of each month.
Plan and complete year-end physical inventory counting, reconciliation, and reporting.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and audit-ready warehouse.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Experience managing an inventory-control process, warehouse function, materials system, or related operation.
Strong knowledge of inventory organization, labeling, storage, and location-control methods.
Experience performing physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
Ability to establish and maintain inventory procedures and controls.
Experience maintaining and reconciling inventory cards, paperwork, and electronic records.
Strong Excel skills, including maintaining, sorting, updating, and reconciling spreadsheets.
Experience preparing month-end inventory reports and supporting year-end physical inventory.
Strong counting, basic math, data-entry, reconciliation, and documentation skills.
Exceptional organization, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, meet deadlines, and take full ownership of inventory accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Management.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a box truck.
Ability to safely operate or become qualified to operate a pallet jack, electric lift, and forklift.
Ability to lift and move parts and materials as required.

Previous experience as an inventory lead, materials coordinator, warehouse coordinator, operations coordinator, warehouse supervisor, or inventory supervisor is helpful. However, the primary requirement is the demonstrated ability to manage inventory systems, procedures, records, controls, and reporting.

This is a functional management position, not a people-management position. The successful candidate will personally perform the work while taking complete ownership of:

Warehouse organization and storage systems

Inventory cards, paperwork, and Excel records
Inventory-movement controls
Cycle counting and discrepancy resolution
Month-end and year-end inventory reporting
Overall warehouse accountability and audit readiness
