Full Job Description

Dietary Aide: Skilled nursing facility looking for right individuals for two open positions 6am-2:30 shift , and works weekends to help with production, cleaning, stocking, and food line service. Experience in healthcare a plus. Seeking someone who has been in food service industry. Must be dependable and responsible and must be able to handle a high volume and demanding food service program. Need to have a good understanding of customer service.

We offer competitive wage and benefits , health insurance in 60 days. We have additional add on to rate for those not needing health insurance.

1. Obtains food, supplies and equipment, as directed.

2. Assists in preparation of foods as directed.

3. May prepare, assemble and arrange salads and desserts for meals in accordance with standard recipes and service standards.

4. May pour juice or arrange other cold food items for following morning's breakfast in accordance with standard recipes and services standards.

5. May assist in portioning of any food during meal service in accordance with standard practices.

6. Prepares trays and serves food according to menus and established serving times.

7. Checks special diet trays with diet orders before distribution.

8. Transports resident meals with the use of a serving truck to the units.

9. Transports with use of a tray, residents' meals from kitchen to Resident Dining Room.

10. Collects and strips trays for dishwashing.

11. Performs cleaning duties in kitchen, serving areas, and dining room, as scheduled and directed.

12. Sets up tray line and Resident Dining Room for next meal.

13. Performs cleaning duties in kitchen, serving areas, and Dining Room, as scheduled and directed.

14. Cleans refrigeration equipment and storerooms, as scheduled.

15. Checks incoming supplies and restocks storerooms.

16. Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishments as required by nursing units.

17. Provides adequate, prompt, and accurate assistance as directed in specific or general dietary functions.

18. Must comply with any and all policies and procedures and sanitary and safety standards.

19. Must be able to understand how to use chemicals for cleaning in a safe manner consistent with MSDS.

Essential Functions of the job:

1. Must be able to read and write.

2. On feet most of the day.

3. Some exposure to variation in temperature: refrigeration, steam heat, etc.

4. Lifting, carrying and moving food, supplies and equipment up to fifty (50) pounds.

Job Type: Full-time
