Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Adult Day Care Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our adult day care program. The Adult Day Care Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of an adult day care center serving older adults and individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments. This role ensures high-quality participant care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, program coordination, family communication, and efficient facility operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the lives of adults with diverse needs while fostering strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through effective program management and compassionate leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Operations

Oversee day-to-day center operations and participant services
Develop and oversee activity programs tailored to participant needs
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health standards, and organizational policies
Monitor participant enrollment, attendance, and service documentation
Coordinate transportation, meals, activities, and personal care services

Staff Management

Supervise caregivers, activity coordinators, drivers, and support staff
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate employees
Schedule employees and maintain adequate staffing levels
Conduct staff meetings and ongoing training
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and quality care standards

Participant Care & Family Relations

Ensure individualized care plans are implemented appropriately
Address participant concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues
Communicate regularly with families, guardians, healthcare providers, and case managers
Support participant engagement and quality-of-life initiatives
Ensure individualized care and social engagement opportunities

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety procedures
Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and health standards
Prepare for inspections and audits
Maintain accurate records and incident reports
Implement emergency preparedness and safety procedures

Community Outreach

Build relationships with healthcare providers, senior organizations, and community agencies
Promote the facility through outreach and marketing efforts
Participate in community events and referral networking

Financial & Administrative Management

Assist with budgeting, payroll approval, and expense monitoring
Manage vendor relationships and supply inventory
Support billing, reimbursement, and census reporting processes
Maintain enrollment and occupancy goals
Prepare reports and operational documentation

Requirements

Proven management experience in program or facility operations within social services or healthcare settings.
Crisis management and problem-solving
Knowledge of aging, dementia care, and disability services
Compassion and customer service orientation
Experience supervising staff and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of social work principles, behavioral health practices, and best practices for working with adults with disabilities.
Excellent relationship management skills to engage clients, families, staff, and community partners effectively.
Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, documentation, and compliance reporting accurately.
