POSITION SNAPSHOT
As Account Manager / Inside Sales, you will cultivate client relationships and drive growth by nurturing (harvester) new and existing accounts into profitable partnerships. You will be the primary contact, managing everything from initial inquiries to ongoing support—handling quotes, orders, documentation, schedules, and compliance concerns. Success requires a solid understanding of metal fabrication, strong analytical skills, and collaborative teamwork with clients, engineers, and our production team to ensure flourishing client relationships and mutual success.

- Account Management: Increase or stabilize the statement of work with clients to reach sales goals.
- Planned Growth: Develop plans with clients that help them succeed, while also growing our business. Find ways to deliver more of what they need.
- Maintain Shop Schedule: Successfully align production schedules with shop capacity and evolving customer demand, resulting in improved on-time delivery.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients. Become their trusted advisor and proactively anticipate client needs.
- Customer Service: Quickly resolve issues clients have so they feel valued and satisfied.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure clients' requirements are met.
- Share Information: Responsible and accountable for sharing information externally (Clients, Suppliers, Vendors) and internally (Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Production) to guarantee alignment.
- Prepare & Deliver Quotes: Create accurate, competitive proposals in a timely fashion in response to client RFQs.
- Staying Informed: Stay up to date on industry news so you can give clients helpful advice.
RESPONSIBILITIES – What You'll Be Doing
- Execute with a sense of urgency; send, follow up, and close quote opportunities quickly.
- Enter orders accurately to align with company objectives around revenue growth, quality, and schedule capacity.
- Solicit client input (vendor/supplier report cards) to maintain consistent feedback loops, respond, and resolve discrepancies.
- Review performance and profitability data to find opportunities for improvement and course correction.
- Attend regular meetings with cross-functional team to support ongoing operations.
- Proactively find ways to reach stated sales goals through engaging with existing and new clients.
- Respond quickly via phone or email to client questions and inquiries.
- Escalate complex issues to internal subject matter experts for resolution and keep clients updated on anything affecting quality or delivery.
- Monitor project progress to align with required timelines. Coordinate responses with appropriate stakeholders.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – What You Need
- Experience managing clients successfully, meeting sales targets, and building strong relationships.
- Great communication skills – ability to talk and write clearly across multiple audiences and subjects.
- A drive for understanding of what customers need and how to feed the sales process.
- Good computer skills, especially using spreadsheets (Excel) and ERP/MRP (JobBoss).
- Ability and desire to analyze information and use it to make smart decisions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Blueprint reading (general)
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's or associates degree is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.
- Proven sales experience (2+ years) or account management background.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g. JobBoss (ERP), Zoho, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Leadership experience; in a business, academic or athletic setting.
Pay: $65,500.00 - $80,000.00 per year
