Experienced Bookkeeper – QuickBooks Online

Companies: Marble Unlimited & Buildrite
Position: Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years
Software: QuickBooks Online (QBO), Outlook and Excel

Position Overview

Marble Unlimited and Buildrite are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for two separate companies.

This position requires someone who is already highly proficient in QuickBooks Online and can step into the role with minimal training and supervision. We are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of their work, stays ahead of deadlines, catches discrepancies, and keeps both companies' books accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, customer billing, ACH payments, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Manage bookkeeping for Marble Unlimited and Buildrite as two separate companies
Maintain accurate and current records in QuickBooks Online
Create and send customer invoices
Send customers ACH payment links and assist with electronic payment processing
Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on past-due invoices
Record and properly apply customer payments
Manage Accounts Payable (AP)
Enter, review, and track vendor bills
Schedule and record vendor payments
Maintain accurate vendor records
Reconcile all bank accounts
Reconcile credit card accounts
Reconcile AR and AP accounts and research discrepancies
Properly categorize income and expenses
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
Review transactions for errors, duplicates, missing information, or incorrect coding
Make appropriate adjusting entries when necessary
Keep financial records organized and current
Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping
Prepare financial reports for management as requested
Maintain documentation needed by the companies' CPA/accountant
Help ensure the books are accurate and ready for tax preparation
Handle other bookkeeping and accounting-related responsibilities as needed for both companies

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
Strong QuickBooks Online experience is required
Extensive experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Experience with customer invoicing and electronic/ACH payments
Strong bank and credit card reconciliation experience
Understanding of general ledger accounting and standard bookkeeping practices
Ability to manage the books for two separate companies simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Professional when communicating with customers, vendors, management, and accountants
Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately

Who We're Looking For

This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position. Minimal training will be provided, so the successful candidate must already understand bookkeeping procedures and be comfortable working independently in QuickBooks Online.

We are looking for someone who does not need to be constantly directed on what to do next. You should be able to review the books, recognize what needs attention, solve routine bookkeeping issues, ask questions when something does not look right, and make sure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with construction, remodeling, stone, countertop, fabrication, installation, or other trade-related businesses is a plus.

Experience maintaining books for multiple companies or entities is also strongly preferred.

What Success Looks Like

The right person will keep Marble Unlimited and Buildrite's financial records accurate, organized, reconciled, and up to date so management always has a clear picture of customer balances, vendor obligations, cash activity, and the financial position of each company.

Pay: $24.70 - $29.74 per hour
