As we continue to expand our specialty services, we are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Neurologist/Neurosurgeon to help design and grow our neurology and neurosurgery service, including the development of a dedicated neurology suite and in-house MRI capabilities.
Since opening our state-of-the-art facility in 2020, RBVH Hillsborough has become a destination for advanced specialty and emergency care. You'll work alongside specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, and Surgery, while also collaborating with colleagues throughout the Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals network. With Internal Medicine, Radiology, and Critical Care services also expanding, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of multidisciplinary specialty care within a growing hospital.

- The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 to $250,000 per year.
In your day-to-day, you will:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurologic disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and neuromuscular system.
- Perform advanced neurologic diagnostics and procedures, including MRI interpretation, CSF collection, electrodiagnostic testing, and neurosurgical interventions as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, and other specialty teams to provide integrated care for complex patients.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic resources including CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, telemetry, and the developing in-house MRI service to support clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
- Perform neurosurgical procedures and provide perioperative management for patients requiring advanced neurologic intervention.
- Help design, develop, and grow the Neurology and Neurosurgery service while contributing to hospital initiatives and long-term specialty expansion plans.
- Build trusted relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation, collaborative case management, and proactive communication.
- Guide pet owners through neurologic diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognoses, and ongoing management plans with empathy, transparency, and confidence.
- Mentor technicians, assistants, interns, and support staff while fostering a culture of learning, teamwork, and clinical excellence.
- Participate in continuing education, specialty rounds, and collaborative discussions that support ongoing professional growth and hospital-wide learning.
- Contribute to a positive, innovative, and collaborative hospital culture focused on advancing specialty medicine and delivering exceptional patient care.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Neurology (DACVIM-Neurology) or Residency Trained in Veterinary Neurology.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
