Monday through Thursday

Second Shift

3:15 PM to 12:15 AM

Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.

Job Description:

US Enhanced is hiring for a Confidential Company seeking an experienced Aluminum TIG/MIG Welder to join a precision machining and sheet metal fabrication facility in Burlington, NC.

We are looking for a highly skilled welder with strong experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and steel using both TIG and MIG welding processes. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high quality work, has excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working from engineering drawings and blueprints in a fast paced fabrication environment.

This position requires experience assembling, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing custom fabricated components while maintaining strict quality standards. Candidates should be dependable, safety minded, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

An aluminum weld test will be administered immediately upon arrival for the interview. Candidates must be confident in their ability to successfully complete the weld test.

Responsibilities:

Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel components.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications.

Assemble, fit, and weld sheet metal components with precision.

Perform grind finishing and cosmetic finishing on completed welds.

Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.

Work closely with engineers and fabrication personnel to complete projects accurately and efficiently.

Identify welding issues and assist with process improvements to increase quality and productivity.

Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure proper operation.

Utilize fabrication tools including tape measures, calipers, protractors, and other measuring equipment.

Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Be willing to work overtime and weekends when production demands require.

Requirements:

Strong recent Aluminum TIG welding experience is required.

Experience performing both TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel.

Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications.

Experience producing high quality cosmetic welds and performing grind finishing.

Ability to use fabrication tools including tape measures, calipers, protractors, and other measuring devices.

Ability to perform basic math including adding and subtracting fractions.

Welding certification is highly preferred.

Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform frequent bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching throughout the workday.

Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.

Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.

Must successfully complete an aluminum weld test during the interview.

This is not a training opportunity. Only candidates with recent, directly related Aluminum TIG/MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication experience will be considered.
