Full Job Description

Job Title: Research Assistant
Department: Survey Research
Reports To: Senior Project Director & Senior Survey Manager
Salary: $40,000
Open Positions: (2-3)

Position Summary

APPRISE is a public policy research organization in Princeton, New Jersey, focusing on Energy Efficiency and Energy Affordability Research and Evaluation. We currently have full time, in-office, Research Assistant positions open.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting telephone interviews with energy program participants and energy program managers.

This position requires in-office work at our Princeton, NJ office.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Research Assistant is to collect survey data for energy program research. With guidance from and review by a Senior Policy Analyst or Senior Survey Manager, a Research Assistant may perform the following tasks.

Conduct Telephone Interviews (80%)
Research Business via Internet Resources (5%)
Preparing Write-ups and Findings (5%)
Survey Mailing Preparation (7.5%)
Other duties as assigned (2.5%)

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree
Strong internet skills.
Good phone manner.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Attention to detail
Oral and written proficiency in English

Work hours – The typical work week is Monday to Friday, with some periodic weekend hours. At times there will be some work hours required in the early evening and on weekends. To compensate, your weekday daytime hours will be reduced, so that you work no more than a 40 hour work week.
