Job Title: Pastry Cook
Location: The Sea Pines Resort – Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Department: Culinary / Food & Beverage

Position Overview

At The Sea Pines Resort, we are committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences that reflect our Forbes Travel Guide–inspired service standards. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in creating refined, high-quality desserts and baked goods that delight our guests and elevate every dining experience.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and presentation, and who thrives in a collaborative, luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all products meet the resort’s quality, taste, and presentation expectations
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Assist with daily production planning, including prep lists and inventory awareness
Support banquet and special event pastry production as needed
Properly store and label all ingredients and finished products
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless service across all outlets
Uphold The Sea Pines Resort’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pastry cook, baker, or similar role preferred
Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and kitchen operations
Ability to follow recipes and production schedules with precision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Culinary school training is a plus, but not required
