Full Job Description

Position Summary

NECS is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Clinician to provide clinical services to youth and families involved with DCF. The clinician will conduct individual and family therapy, collaborate with DCF social workers and other providers, and perform comprehensive Parenting Capacity Evaluations (PCEs). This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team and have a meaningful impact on child safety and family stability in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient-level therapeutic services (individual, family, and group) to youth and families referred by DCF.
Conduct thorough Parenting Capacity Evaluations, including interviews, psychological testing (if qualified), record reviews, and collateral contacts.
Prepare clear, clinically sound, and timely written reports to inform DCF case planning and court decisions.
Attend team meetings, case reviews, and court proceedings as needed.
Collaborate closely with DCF workers, school personnel, and other community providers.
Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with agency, state, and insurance requirements.
Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
Travel to client homes, NECS offices, and DCF area offices across Eastern Massachusetts.

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Independent licensure required (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist in Massachusetts).
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
Experience conducting Parenting Capacity Evaluations or forensic assessments preferred.
Familiarity with DCF systems and child welfare practices strongly preferred.
Strong writing, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Eastern Massachusetts.
Bilingual/bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.
