The Opportunity

A growing automotive service organization is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Automotive Service Store Manager to lead a high-volume service operation in Westwood, Massachusetts.

This opportunity is designed for a proven leader who has successfully managed a business generating more than $2.5 million in annual revenue while leading a team of 8-10 direct reports. The ideal candidate combines financial acumen, operational discipline, talent leadership, and a strong commitment to the customer experience.

The successful candidate will be accountable for profitable growth, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, labor productivity, operational excellence, and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Financial Management

Maintain full P&L accountability for an automotive service operation generating more than $2.5 million annually.
Drive revenue growth, gross profit improvement, expense management, and sustainable profitability.
Analyze key performance indicators and develop focused action plans to improve results.
Manage labor productivity, staffing, scheduling effectiveness, inventory, and controllable expenses.
Execute short- and long-term business plans that strengthen the location and local market position.

People Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8-10 direct reports across customer service and shop operations.
Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing automotive service professionals.
Establish a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, safety, performance, and customer care.
Provide regular coaching, clear expectations, and meaningful development opportunities.
Build bench strength and prepare team members for expanded responsibility.

Customer Experience & Sales Growth

Deliver a consistent customer experience that strengthens loyalty, retention, and referrals.
Coach service advisors to improve needs-based selling, communication, and follow-through.
Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Identify opportunities to expand local customer relationships and market share.

Operational Excellence

Optimize workflow, technician productivity, bay utilization, work quality, and service capacity.
Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable safety, environmental, and employment requirements.
Use reporting and operational analytics to identify trends, remove obstacles, and improve execution.
Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready facility.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of five years of progressive automotive service leadership experience.
Demonstrated success managing an automotive service operation exceeding $2.5 million in annual revenue.
Direct experience leading teams of 8-10 or more employees.
Proven P&L ownership, including revenue, gross margin, labor productivity, expense control, and profitability.
Track record of improving sales, customer retention, team performance, and operating results.
Strong business acumen, communication skills, judgment, and data-driven decision-making ability.
Ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain automotive service talent.

Preferred Background

Relevant leadership experience must include automotive aftermarket service, tire and repair operations, dealership fixed operations, multi-bay maintenance facilities, preventive maintenance, or comparable automotive retail service environments. Technical automotive knowledge, ASE credentials, local business development experience, and exposure to commercial or fleet customers are beneficial.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

A competitive compensation package will be offered commensurate with experience and demonstrated results. Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
