Full Job Description

Growth & Expansion Capital Services (GECS GovCon) is hiring B2B Sales Consultants in Tampa Bay. This will be BRAND NEW, as our company is scaling with a small internal team, we need more hungry closers in the virtual building. You'll work from home Monday through Friday and meet with the team in person once a week — which is why we're hiring locally. Applicants must live in Pinellas, Hillsborough, or Pasco County.

You'll sell a full catalog of government contracting services to commercial contractors who want federal work. This is not a single-product job. You'll have five revenue lines to work depending on what the business in front of you actually needs.

What you'll sell:

BidStrike — our AI federal contracting platform, the only one on the market that submits proposals directly to Contracting Officers rather than just drafting them
Federal Ally Program — done-for-you federal onboarding, including SAM.gov registration for businesses not yet in the system
GSA Schedule services — getting contractors onto the government's primary purchasing vehicle
GECS Marketing Plans — marketing and visibility programs for contractors who need to be found
Capital Funding Applications — financing support for contractors who need working capital to perform

The range is the advantage. A contractor who isn't registered yet needs the Federal Ally Program. One who's registered but invisible needs marketing. One who's winning work but cash-constrained needs funding. You diagnose, then you sell the right thing. We are a one-stop shop, and you'll pitch it that way.

Who you're selling to:

Commercial facility support and trade contractors — janitorial, construction, flooring, roofing, HVAC, landscaping. Owner-operated businesses doing real work in the commercial market who have no idea how much the federal government spends on exactly what they already do.

Your leads come in fresh:

New federal registrants, daily. Our AI SDR engine monitors businesses registering with the government and reaches them the same day they enter the system. We are frequently the first call they get — before they've been worked by anyone else.
Inbound from our marketing. Our social campaigns bring in contractors who aren't registered at all. Those are full-service opportunities from the first conversation.

Registered or not, we have something to sell them. That's the difference between this seat and a one-product sales job.

What you'll do:

High-volume outbound calling to commercial contractors across the trades
Run discovery, identify which GECS services fit, and close
Work inbound leads and demos generated by our marketing engine
Use LinkedIn to grow your network of business decision makers, funnel them in
Build long-term accounts — most clients buy more than one service over time
Maintain accurate pipeline activity in our CRM
Attend a weekly in-person team meeting in Tarpon Springs

Compensation

Ramp-Up Program — first 30 days: 15% commission on your weekly gross sales. You come in, learn the product line, and start selling immediately. What you sell during ramp-up is what you earn.

After 30 days: You move onto our draw and tier plan — base salary plus commission, paid through payroll with benefits eligibility. Your production during ramp-up determines the base you're placed at. You build your own salary by proving what you can sell. We can increase this to 60 days as well.

Target production: $10,000 per week in gross sales. At the ramp-up rate that's $1,500 per week, or roughly $78,000 annualized. Consultants who consistently exceed target clear well past that.

Retro Bonus: Each sold account also generates a $50 retro bonus, added up and paid out in December before the holidays. The more accounts you bring in, the larger your holiday bonus will be. (Ex: 3 sales per week = 12 sales per month; $600 in bonus pay for the month added to your Retro Bonus bucket for Christmas). If you leave the company prior to December 15th, you void your bonus. This is designed to keep high quality sales people that produce, and showcase our appreciation for their efforts.

Commission is paid on total weekly gross sales, not per deal — so a week built from a GSA engagement, two BidStrike subscriptions, and a funding application all counts toward the same number.

What we're looking for

2+ years B2B sales experience — phone-forward, full-cycle
Familiarity with commercial facility services or trade contractors (janitorial, construction, flooring, roofing, HVAC, landscaping) strongly preferred
Must live in Pinellas, Hillsborough, or Pasco County and be available for weekly in-person meetings
Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet home workspace
Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling
Consultative instincts — you'll be diagnosing needs across five service lines, not reading one script
No federal contracting experience is a bonus, but we educate and train you on this.
