Senior Payroll & Billing Specialist
$60- $65K/year
Salt Lake City, UT

PrincePerelson & Associates is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Senior Payroll & Billing Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll and accounting professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.

In this role, you’ll manage weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees while also overseeing accounts receivable, client invoicing, collections, and payment applications. You’ll have meaningful responsibility across multiple functions and the opportunity to directly contribute to the efficiency and success of an established, growing company.

What You’ll Do
Payroll

Process accurate and timely weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Respond to payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end processing

Accounts Receivable

Prepare and distribute client invoices
Manage accounts receivable, collections, and payment applications
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
Monitor aging reports and support timely payments and healthy cash flow

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with reporting, audits, and special projects
Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of payroll processing experience
Experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and billing
Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable learning and working across multiple software systems

Preferred Experience:

Multi-state payroll
Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains)
Staffing, recruiting, or professional services industry
