Commercial Flooring Estimator

Competitive Compensation Package

Base Salary: $55,000–$70,000 annually

Compensation is based on commercial flooring experience, industry knowledge, software proficiency, and overall qualifications.

Commercial flooring experience and proficiency with RFMS (or similar commercial flooring estimating/POS software) may qualify candidates for compensation above the posted salary range.

Performance-Based Commission

6% Commission based on your individual Gross Profit Margin (GPM) performance.
Our compensation plan rewards accuracy, profitability, and long-term success.

Who We're Looking For

Please apply only if you have a minimum of one (1) year of commercial flooring experience.

Qualified experience may include estimating, project management, installation, sales, or operations within the commercial flooring industry.

We're looking for someone who understands the commercial flooring business, enjoys solving problems, and wants to build a long-term career with an established and growing company.

Position Overview

Johnson Commercial Interiors is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Estimator to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll prepare accurate project estimates, perform digital quantity takeoffs, review plans and specifications, communicate with vendors and general contractors, and work closely with our sales and project management teams to deliver successful commercial flooring projects.

Whether your experience comes from estimating, project management, field operations, or installation, we're interested in professionals who understand commercial flooring and are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

Review commercial construction drawings and specifications.
Perform accurate digital quantity takeoffs.
Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and manufacturer pricing.
Review project addenda and bid revisions.
Coordinate with sales and project management throughout the estimating process.
Assist with project turnover after project award.
Maintain estimate accuracy while protecting company profitability.
Build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, architects, and general contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

Commercial flooring estimating
Blueprint and specification reading
Digital takeoff software
RFMS or similar commercial flooring estimating/POS software
Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and organizational skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
